The interior glass on my GE oven is cracked from one end to the other. I just noticed it, but have been using the oven anyway with no apparent problems. I this something that I should repair? If yes, is the part easy to install?

Yes it should be replaced
Here are you parts
Replacement parts for GE JBP26WY1 | AppliancePartsPros.com

Remove the door
Place it on a table, on a towel with the handle over the edge so it lays flat.
Then just open it up
Take your time and note where everything goes

This is tempered glass so once it cracks it could explode into a million little pieces.
