The supply tube into my ice-maker freezes and the pressure builds in the water line and leaks at the plastic tube where it goes through the fridge wall. When I thaw the tube the ice-maker works fine until it freezes again.
According to the manual I have, it could be the valve is leaking by and this is what I suspect. The problem is, I have a valve before and after the filter. Both are a double valve but do not have the same part number. If they were inter-changable I would just replace the one before the filter and if it still froze-up I would swap them, but I don't think they are inter-changable and I don't want to buy both valves if I don't need to. How can I tell which valve is the culprit?
Thank you, Jerry

Disconnect the water line from one and watch to see if it drips. It doesn't take much to cause your problem. It shouldn't drip any.
