MY JENN AIR CONTROL PANEL IS VERY DIM, YOU CAN SEE THE CLOCK TIME LIGHT, BUT WHEN USING THE OVEN OR TO BROIL CANNOT READ THE DISPLAY. PLEASE TELL ME WHAT THE PROBLEM IS AND IF THIS CAN BE FIXED ON OUR OWN. WE OPENED THE FRONT AND SAW THE CONTROL PANEL.

THANKS:confused:

Replacing the 3 capacitors on the oven control module / clock display may fix the dim display as they regulate the voltage to the display. Use the same value capacitors as the original, and the same voltage rating or higher. Look for high temp capacitors, and be very careful not to damage the cables that you need to unplug from the oven control module.

If you are not able to replace the capacitors or it would not fix the problem then replace the control board (aka a clock).

- The part number for the control board is AP4089341

Thanks for the valuable information. The display for my Jennair double oven (JJW8627AAB) slowly failed over a few months, but only now did I have time to look into it. I bought all 3 capacitors (68uF and two 470uF) this morning since the nearest electronics store is a 45 minute drive. Replacing the smaller one, 68uF, was enough to bring back the display. Many thanks.
