I've had my dishwasher for about 2 months and it was running fine until about two days ago. I ran a load of dishes as I normally do, and when I opened the door to unload, the latch where I put the powdered soap was opened by the soap was still there. The soap was hard, and in one large clump. Any ideas?

Three things you could check are: Does the unit have power going to it? Is the unit actually filling with water? Are the filter screens in the machine clean?
No water could be caused by a clogged inlet filter screen in the water valve. Remove the kick panel Check that the overfill switch/float is not stuck in the up position. Check that the valve is getting power when it should, at the start of the cycle. If yes Remove the valve and check the screen. Be sure to turn the water supply off before doing this. If it is clogged up clean it, do not remove it as it is there to prevent crud from getting into the valve and causing a flood. If clogged also drain some water out of your hot water tank let it run till the water is clear.
If the screen is clean then it is a machine fault.
You have electricity and water so any further problem should be covered under warranty. If you go any further you may void your warranty. |
