i have a top load kenmore washer. it runs and functions through all the modes on its own. but it will not totally spin rinse all the water out of the clothes like it should. i have to put it through an extra spin rinse to get the rest of the water out of the clothes. now i did replace the lid switch. the water pump. the plastic gears, which i forget what they are really called. after replacing all these parts, it seemed to fix my problem. now it is back to where it was. i am thinking it may be the timer or the clutch. after watching the machine in spin cycle, it just seems like it does not really spin fast enough to get the water out of the clothes like it should. any input would be helpful. thank you.

With a machine of this age the clutch is the likely culprit. Check out the Sticky at the top of this page by Richappy on Direct Drive Brakes. That will take you through the repair.
