I ordered part number 304763 and have tried to install it. I am having trouble with the retainer rod and the spring which one goes into which slot? I have the diagram of the door but still can not figure out how they go back together. Please advise. Thank you! Posted by Carrieg employee of Appliance parts pros for customer valleyelectroman@aol.com OK, First you'll need to partially remove the dishwasher, to access the rear tub support/frame to install the spring retainer Part number: AP2904280
Using the hole in the frame(the retainer is installed, similar to a peg board hook)insert the "hooked" end of the retainer and turn/twist into position. Slip the new door sring over the retainer rod and attach the spring hook into the loop of the retainer, stretch the spring(you may want to use a pair of pliers) and insert the other spring hook onto the door hinge tab. Fully open and close the dishwasher door several times, then reinstall and check for operation. Good Luck, :) :) :)
