Have Magic Chef Side by Side………Model #........BDNS24J9A….Purchased May 1990…. Replaced Ice Cube Tray……June, 2005

Problem = Ice cubes have an odor---like--- motor oil / rubber tires / chemical / plastic…..

I washed both the ice cube tray and the ice bin with vinegar / water…….That has helped a little but not completely……Could it be that the plastic ice bin needs to be replaced….??.....Since the odor is “plastic” I’m wondering if the plastic material is ‘breaking down’…

Thanx in advance for any suggestions……..
