Dryer has been making more and more noise but works fine. Do I oil it? What kind of oil? What parts might I need?

Here are your parts
Replacement parts for MAYTAG DE312 | AppliancePartsPros.com

First run your fingers around the front and back seal in the tub. Check for anything that is jammed between the seal and the frame, bra wires are famous for this. Be careful it may be something sharp.

Next open it up and find out what is making the racket.
Front glides and the idler wheel are prime suspects but also could be rear support rollers or motor bearings.

The scratching is of concern as this may do permanent damage to the unit.
An example is shown below, something like this may be happening inside the unit.

Oil is of some use but has to be used in minimal amounts as it will collect lint. Much better to find the bad part and replace it.

Here is a good site with general dryer repair info

I couldn' find anything around the seal and I lubricated the front rollers with high temperature graphite lubricant. It still squeals like crazy and continuously. What parts do I need. I think the squealing is coming from the back. The drier is 20 years old.

What parts do I need.

Not sure what part you mean by front rollers.
I can only suggest possible causes.
The rear rollers are a possibility.

Other than those there are the front glides, idler roller and the motor's bearings.
