We have replace the Start/Dev and the Motor on the Evaporator Fan, both which were burnt. It worked great for about a week. Now it has stopped working again and there is a clicking from the Start/Dev we replaced it again (under warranty) and we still have the same clicking noise. Could it be the compressor or P.C board causing this. When the clicking happens the lights dim? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

You now have a compressor drawing high current due to a bad start winding.
An amprobe would confirm. A 1000 joule surge protector in the wall outlet would have prevented this.
