I've been fighting this issue for over a year. It's an intermittent problem, actually. The oven will get an F1-1 error. Sometimes during cooking, sometimes well after we're finished and the oven is 'off' (though still warm).
I pulled the control panel off and checked that the temp sensor is getting it's signal all the way back to it's connector on the Clock/Computer. I also took readings at a number of temperatures:
TEMP - OHMS
200F - 1425
250F - 1511
300F - 1541
350F - 1702
400F - 1779
450F - 1889
500F - 1992
Some of these seem off from the recommended sensor tempurature (the calibration says 350F should read 1654 and I'm at 1702).
So - this is a new temp sensor - is it bad? Is it off enough to have the oven throw the F1-1 code? That means the oven thinks it's over 600F in bake mode, right? That would be 2142 ohms. I'm not reading that high. And the error can come when I'm only cooking at 350F.
My next thought is the control panel has a break in a solder joint somewhere and it pops 'open' when it gets warm enough and the stove will read that as a high tempurature. I may take the computer out and check all the solder joints and re-solder.
BUT - if that doesn't work, I want to make sure I order the right part - it looks like it could be 270-370 bucks depending on how I understand the part lists. It shows at part '5' in the diagram, but there are so many '5's in the list that I'm not sure which one is the actual 'computer'.

Thanks! Beemie, You're on the right track, the 50 ohms resistance high, would not create your issue, At 50 ohms you're probably 2 to 5 degrees high(if at all) and can calibrate the control for that. Th proper control for your range, will be based on the model number and the series/serial number, If you can supply that information, we'll be happy to supply you the proper part number. :) :) :) :)

Is a remanufactured version available? Of course mine is the most expensinve part. What is the difference between this and the AP4095951 ?
Just curious - this is one of those things that - being so expensive - I'd hate to not have it be the problem. There really isn't anything else that 'can' be the problem though if the temp sensor and harness is good.

You don't want to use the incorrect part, thats why the need for the model and serial, they aren't interchangeable. For a re manufactured part, you would need search the web for a control repair organization or used appliance parts dealers, we don't have "remanufactuerd" parts. But we do have the best return policy available, should you feel you need it(365 days). Correct, as long as the harness and the sensor tested proper, the control would be the issue. :) :) :) :)
