Cooktop sparks by itself without any burners turned on.
Does the same with gas shutoff valve turned off.
Stops sparking when unit is disconnected from 120 volt power.

Each surface burner has its own spark switch. One or more of yours is probably stuck. They are located on the valve stem behind your knobs.
