You will have to open it up to find a cause. If everything else is OK then it is probably the motor itself.

Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 4/5/2009(UTC) Posts: 2		I would like to thank Denman for his reply to my problem of a Kithchenaid dishwasher with a high pitch whine during the wash cycle. He sent me several links to help with the diagnostics. The service manual link was outstanding. I followed the suggested procedure and found the problem. The front motor bearing was worn out because of a leak that had developed between the impeller and the shaft seal. I have received the replacement parts from Appliance Parts Pros, installed them and the dishwasher is back up and running very quietly. Thanks again, trenchman 97
