Just moved into new rental. Frig ice maker is in freezer not door.
Hooked up water line to ice maker and ice maker overflowed and would not stop running water. Is this from a faulty pump or something sticking?
Please help!!!

Yes the water inlet valve on the back where the water supply comes in can stick open. If you have a water dispenser you will have a dual valve, one for the ice maker and one for the water.
