I have tried to replace the clamp that goes around the nipple that connects the water line to the top of the fridge in the back. It still leaks from the nipple when filling ice tray with water. There is a small metal sheath that fits into the line at the top. I'm wondering if that is broken. There were two small wings that spread at the top of the line, maybe they have worn down or broken so they no longer keep the line in place?

The tube that enters the icemaker is probably filled with ice causing the line to pop off when the icemaker tries to fill. If so you need to remove the tube and get all of the ice out. Then replace the water valve or this will happen again. Hope this helps!! Icemaker Repair Guide
