I replaced the wax motor assuming that would be the problem, but is still doesn't work. Any suggestions?

Upon further investigation, I had a wire pinched and broken, right where the door meets the tub of the dishwasher. Not sure why they didn't put some kind of shroud there when they designed it because it is certainly a weak point; lots of sharp steel parts right there. It was the white (neutral) wire so no fuse or breaker would have tripped. After re-joining the wire, I put lots of electrical tape around the whole bundle of wires to prevent further wire damage or chafing.
