I have checked the ignitor and the sensor. Both seem to register on the multimeter..unplugged delivering 61ohms (ignitor) and 1ohm (sensor). When I turn it on, I can hear a click...but no glow ..no flame...just alot of tepid air.
I saw a thread from sometime ago where the individual replaced both the thermal fuse and the cycling thermostat and while the dryer started working again..it soon stopped heating up. The solution seemed to be replacing the coils. Is it advisable to replace the coils first? I thought that if it was the coils, I would have at least some activity from the ignitor[/font] Any help/advise will be most appreciated.

How do you get to the igniter? which panels have to come off? Its approx 5 years old. I have looked every where for a model number to no success. I can't figure out how to get to the burner.
Sincerely, Thank You
Randy

Randy, I am certainly NOT a pro at this stuff...but I also had problems locating the model number on my Maytag. I finally found it on the inside of the door!!! Hope this helps.
