During a spin cycle, the washer began to smell like the belt was burning. I shut it off and took the front panel off. I started the spin cycle again and it will not spin. The belt gets tight like it wants to spin but it will not. I took tension off the belt and am able to spin the tub by hand. Clockwise it spins easily, counter-clockwise is a little more hard.

Going through the forum, I am thinking tub bearing, transmission or motor but do not want to purchase parts that I do not need.

Thanks,
Dave

I think the transmission is more likely than the bearing, but you will have to dig into to the machine to be sure. This model does not have brakes so the tub should turn fairly easily.

If you buy parts from this site and they do not fix the problem you can return them, see the returns policy for details and conditions.
