My washer was making a very loud squealing noise when rinsing only. When washing it made no noise. Just the other day all noise had stopped. Now the washer was washing and it completely stopped and I was smellnig rubber burning. It will not wash, spin nothing you just hear the motor on. What could this be?

The first place to check is the belt. Take off the front panel and you will have access to it. Also check the pump for an obstruction.
