Tomorrow, we will check the solenoid valve, gleaning info from a response to a post by HenrySiegel...T+his refrigerator/freezer is over 20 years old; everything else is working fine. Are parts still available for this model? If it will help, here is more info: Manufacturer.# P74870-18WL Serial # BE 30854448 We are willing to purchase either just the icemaker parts, once we find out what we need, or a replacement icemaker assembly. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

After you will test the water valve solenoid I would recommend you to talk (or live chat) with the Appliance Parts Pros team. They might help you to find the right part. Gene.
