Have a small Kenmore dishwasher, got it used from the in-laws - only used two years, but has been stored in our shed for about 18 months now. Kept dry, but subject to the heat and cold. It worked fine before it was removed from their kitchen for a remodel.

Connected everything up, getting power, getting water, but when we turn it on, it is evident that it is not getting water inside the machine. I have verified that water is flowing to the machine. Did the weather mess it up, can we fix it, or should we be looking to purchase another one? Its only 4 years old, and only used less than 2 - looks great, just wish it worked!

Thanks in advance for any help and direction.

NTK,

Did you check the two wires going to the fill valve, to make sure they're attached and not broken.

Chances are you may need a new fill valve,
Part number: AP4321824
Part number: AP4321824

It may have seized up from just sitting there, the weather probably had little to nothing to do with the issue.

Good Luck,
:) :) :)

Thanks Joe, we figured that's what it was. Sadly, we went to buy one from a local source and since its half an hour away, we had them test the old one in the store- and the new one. Seems the old one was stuck, and the new one was too! We're waiting this morning for UPS to come drop one off so we can get it working. If that ISN'T it, what else could it be?

Ntk,

You could check the water level float and switch, in the tub(float). if you raise and lower the float by hand you should here the float switch " click" if not, check the switch, mounted under the float.

I'm sure you'll be fine once you get the new fill valve, and as long as you didn't drag or msan handle the dishwasher, there aren't any loose wires or switches.

Good Luck,
:) :) :)
