How do I remove the light bulb guard? The burned-out bulb is stuck too tightly to unscrew it by reaching around the guard.

You can find the complete instructions in the Owners manual (page 11).

Thanks, Gene. The owner's manual says reach behind the guard and grab the light bulb. It's stuck and I'm afraid I'll break it - I want to remove the guard so I can perhaps tape the bulb and wear gloves. The breakdown diagram shows the guard, but not in enough detail to see how to remove it.

It is written on page 11 of the Owners manual:

"To remove the bulb cover:
➢ Grasp the top and bottom of the bulb
cover. Press in the areas of the attachment
tabs, applying enough pressure
to unhook the tabs. At the same time,
pivot the cover down and remove.
➢ Unscrew the lightbulb and replace.
➢ Replace the bulb cover by pivoting it
back into place and snapping the tabs
into the appropriate slots."

Thanks for your patience, Gene. I was able to get one side of the guard loose. That gave me enough room to put a Dycem jar gripper around the bulb and safely unscrew it.

You are welcome. I'm glad you were able to fix it.
