Replaced bi-metal defrost thermo but freezer continues to defrost too much! Any suggestions? thanks,K Kain.

Is the defrost cycle too long or does it defrost too often. If the bi-metal is working it cuts the defrost cycle off when it get warm on the coil where it's mounted.

The fan runs as normal but the freezer no longer freezes! It is about the same temp as refrigerator section.

Make sure the compressor and the fan next to it are "on", the condenser coil is clean and the compressor is not very hot on touch. Remove the rear cover in the freezer and check how the evaporator coil is covered with snow. Post the results. Gene.
