washer stopped working during load. was full of water, wont spin, wont agitate, wont drain. timer kept running past end of cycle into next cycle without stopping. we were alerted to the problem by the smell of burning rubber (belt seems ok) motor hums but does nothing. manually spinning motor spins the drum.

My washer is also maytag mav3855, its about 5 years old I am leaning towards the motor. It smells like it is burning but I am not sure
