I am trying to locate a new thermostat, P/N WR9X8. Is it possible to use a substitute if this part cannot be located?

What are the fridg. symptoms? If definitly bad, I would use a constant differential control, part # 26238, GS505, AP3681523 about $29. I would never use a sustitute control, you will have problems getting the right fridg. temperature and temperature range.
