Hi there. Can someone help me diagnose my dishwasher issue? I had a service guy come out b/c the dishwasher was not draining when it finished a wash cycle. It would drain, however, if I hit the "drain" button on the far right. The service man did not seem knowledgable, first telling me it was the board and pump. Then he called KitchenAid tech support and the service man wrote that I needed a new float/reservoir. I called KitchenAid myself and they said they told him I needed a new drain loop. I don't know what to believe. And I'm out $85 and still have a broken dishwasher.
Thoughts on what the right answer is, before I spend even more money?
Many thanks!!

I have to agree with you also he does not seem to have any troubleshooting ability.

Since it pumps out when using drain the pump is OK
I would think it is the board not working correctly in wash cycle.
I am assuming that the unit runs a wash cycle OK but does not pump out when it should and then advances to the end. Also that there are no sounds when it should be pumping out.

The float only affects the fill not the pump out.
Since it pumps out using drain I cannot see how a drain loop can be your problem.

See the attachment for the tech sheet.
Perhaps diagnostics will give some additional info.
