I just recently moved into a new house and after hooking up the washer I started running into problems.
1) The washer would fill but would not move to next cycle. I found that the lid switch was not engaging fully when the lid was closed. Worked fine if I manually pushed in the switch. To resolve the issue I placed a small credit card thin spacer behind the switch since it seemed to be sitting to far back and not letting the plunger push it all the way in. Seemed to do the trick.
2) Was going to run a load of just water to see if all was well and selected a Mini load. Needless to say the washer started to fill and before I knew it there was water pouring out of the washer. It stopped when I pressed the dial.

Now what? Can the lid switch cause this type of issue?
