I have a Whirlpool, model #LSR8244EZ1, top load, Imperial, 8-cycle, 2-speed washer. Was doing laundry and heard a bang when the machine went into the spin cycle. After that couldn't get the tub to spin. Thank you in advance for your help.

Does it agitate and drain?

Would it spin if you will help manually?

Thank you for getting back to me. The machine will agitate and drain, but I can't get it to spin.

Remove the washer cabinet

and check the motor drive coupling (the instructions are attached).
