Thanks for any help in advance. Kenmore dryer all of a sudden timed dry timer does not work and can get no heat from the dryer. Opened up from the back, dryer had limited lint on electrical components and wires. Seemed odd to me that the timer and heat would fail at the same time, and assuming malfunctioning component is related to both. This is an electric dryer. The dryer runs, but will not shut off when in timed dry and no heat.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Here is a wiring diagram https://www.servicematters.com/d...0Sheet%20-%208528187.pdfOn this unit both the timer and heater run off of 240 volts. Try turning the breaker off/on slowly a couple times. Sometimes you can loose half the line without actually tripping the breaker. If the above does not work measure the voltage at the plug, to be sure you have 240 volts. |
