The unit begins as normal, however a few minutes into the cycle it will quit. A slight pressure on the door will restart and continue. In my case it followed through the whole cycle, however my wife claims it quits again and requires additional pressure. Is there an adjustment to the door I can perform or does the switch need replaced?

The switch may need to be replaced, but open the control console first and see if the mount may be broken and loose. If everything looks good, then go for a new switch.
