I bought a new module for the ice maker in my Roper refrigerator . I am having trouble reconnecting the new module. The arm coming tfrom the ice maker is round with a flat section and the female end of the big gear is round with a flat edge. How do I get theses flat edges in the sam plaace so I can reconnect the module to the ice maker? The big gesar doesn't turn manually. Can I turn it somehow so I could match it with the ice maker arm?

What was the original problem?

It is much more reliable to replace the whole ice maker. The rate of successful ice makers repair is very low and the difference in price is less than a dollar. So, my suggestion is to return the module and order the ice maker for just $57.59
