Hello everyone.

My KA dishwasher developed a leak recently. At first I thought it was the door seal. I paid a repairman to look at it...he replaced the door seal and tightened the door...but the leak returned. I had him come again...no charge, but he thought that I might have been over-soaping or water was being directed at the door due to loading. Leak returned...this time I took off the front panel and located the part...water was coming off of the switch at the right front bottom corner. I bought the part (8193506...was 8545880) from a local repair store, but now I'm not sure what's involved with the swap...and I can't locate a free repair manual on-line. This part is supposedly not difficult to change...but is it easy without instructions? I just don't want to get caught in the middle and not know how to proceed.

Anyone have the repair manual? Or even detailed instructions? Should I bite the bullet and buy the manual?

Thanks.
Tony

It is a fairly easy install.

The following is not an exact match but it should be close.
http://appliancedigest.c...ishwasher-service-manual
You have to join the site to download the manual but it is free and this is a very good site for manuals and other info for the appliance repair DIYer.

A light coating of lithium grease on the rubber washer will ensure it does not grab/curl when tightening the nut.
Also do not over tighten the nut or you will strip it. You just want to compress the washer not bottom out the nut.
