My microwave is not heating food. Everything else works. Per Maytag, I replaced the magnetron with no luck. I am an HVAC service tech by trade. I have narrowed it down to the transformer as I am seeing 120V present at the transformer when the unit is calling for heat but I am only seeing 3V at the magnetron. ( I am not sure what I am supposed to be seeing there as I have no wiring diagram and the transformer does not say what the output voltage should be )
The capacitor is good.
I am also having issues ohming out the transformer as it has an odd number of leads coming out of it. Not typical from what I am used to seeing,
Any help would be great! And if anyone wants to buy a brand new magnetron (cheap) let me know. It is apparently un-returnable.
Thank you
Don

It is probably the Diode, it boosts the DC up to 5kv. If you still have the magnetron I am interested in it.
