I need a schematic to understand how to get to the pump that gets the water up the back of the fridge to the ice maker - hose is brittle and continues to leak I have replaced thie tubing down to the bottom but can't go any further

You'll need to move the refrigerator out and away from the wall. Unplug the power cord from the outlet, then remove the lower back panel of the rear cabinet(usually made of cardboard). Just inside the right side of the opening, you'll see the water inlet valve. Dismount the valve assembly, so you can work with the connection. You most likely have a compression nut fitting, holding the tube to the fill valve body, Part number: AP3084160
That you'll need to unscrew from the valve, slip it off the original tube ( kind of hard, but do able) and slip on to the new tube. Reverse the process and check for leaks and operation. Good Luck, :) :) :)
