I have a Kenmore Elite direct drive washer that is leaking prior to the agitation cycle.

I think that it is filling up too much because it overflows when it agitates. I have checked the fill valves to make sure that they are not sticking.

My guess at this point is that it is pressure switch. Any thoughts or recommendations on replacement part numbers?

Thanks,
Rob

If it is over filling I would agree with you on the water level switch. But before you buy one, be sure the hose has not come off of it. I see that alot. Tom

Kayakcrzy and All,

Thanks for the input. I replaced the pressure switch and hose. I am still having the same problem. I went back and checked the hose and connections and they looked good. It has improved slightly but still overflows. To date I have checked the influent water valves and they shut off properly and checked the pump (no leaks).

Does anybody have any other thoughts.

Thanks,
Rob

Take the hose off the pressure switch, and blow through it. Also make sure there are no kinks in the pressure hose. Tom ApplianceEducator.com
