To All:

I have a Kitchen Aid dishwasher in which I can run the diagnostic and it goes through all the cycles. However, it does not start a normal cycle. Is this a problem with the control panel , electronic control assembly, or something else?

Thanks

Hello eriewhaler. Remove the ribbon cable from the control board. With the positive lead on your meter, check pin 1-12, and with the negative lead, check pin 1-5. When you push the start button, these contacts should go from infinity down to an ohm reading. If so, the start button on the panel is working properly. If not, you will need to replace the user interface. If the control panel is working properly, check and make sure the door switches are good. If so, you will need to replace the control board. You can test this with a multi-meter [AP3873826]. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps.http://forum.appliancepartspros...continuity-ohmmeter.html
