I have a Friidaire Gas Range which I am converting to run on propane. We have no electricity where we live and I am wondering if there is a way to convert the oven to run on propane without the electrical controls. Thanks for any advice you can give me.

You could turn on the surface burners and light them with a match, it will not reignite as you would expect, and the oven will not work without power to the board and the gas valve. Conversion to propane is not difficult and can be done with a kit that comes with instructions.
