So if you stick a portable fan on the back of the fridg to cool the condenser, everything will work just fine,is that true?

Richappy, I have a similar problem and a portable fan has made the freezer/fridge work normal as the condenser fan was stopped. I did get the fan started again by spinning it by hand. Is this a sign the motor is going? or needs cleaning?
I have an Amana tx121a3 that is doing this. I have ordered a replacement motor hoping that will solve the problem.

Oh model # TXI21A3.
The condensor fan is running like it should now but will still replace the motor on it as I can see no reason for it to do what it did other than it's time is nearing the end.
