Installing new WD26X10013 motor/pump on a GE GSD4930X66ww dishwasher.
1) The old power connection from the motor had 3 round metal connectors in a plastic clip connector. The connector cable in the installation kit that seems to be the right one (it doesn't match any of those pictured in the instructions) has a 3 round hole plastic clip connector with wires in 2 of the holes. The two prong connector that clips on to the top of the motor has a blue wire and a white wire. When connected to the motor, should the blue wire be on the right or the left when looking at the motor with this connection on top? It can attach either way.
2) The instructions said use the drain hose adapter kit, but the old drain hose as is fits onto the motor/pump assembly's pipe as it did for the old assembly, only I had to use one of the smaller hose clamps from the kit (although bigger than the original clamp). Did I do the right thing?

There is no difference where the blue and the white wires will go. 2) This pump & motor kit designed for all previous models and this adapter is needed for some of them. It has to be determined at time of installation. If your dishwasher drain hose fits without the adapter then you do not need it. Gene.
