My Whirlpool RF302 will NOT shut of two 6 inch burners, right rear, left front (facing machine). Have bought two new (sears) infinity switches, installed and properly wired. SAME issue now exists, the two burners come on despite in off setting, surface light on. Other two burners fine, 6&8 Inch. Same issue with new switches as had before I replaced them?

What is bringing on the two burners and where/how did they get common power source to do so? Note 240 seems fine as dryer on same circuit, works OK.

SOLUTION We bought two 6 inch switches, replaced them on two burners that would NOT shut off. NO CHANGE. Ran continuity go/no go tests, they checked out fine. Now in desperation (wife asked "did you check the big one (8 inch)?" I then ran continuity test on it, and noted it failed. Ordered, installed generic $15 NEW 8 INCH switch, (note that burner for some very odd reason had worked fine). Now after new 8 inch switch in place, ALL works perfect. Why I do not know as cannot find any reason for that when looking at wiring diagrams. So now fixed, why and how, not a clue other then it seems bad 8 inch switch impacts couple of 6 inch in some odd way.
