My Kenmore 80 Series washer (bought in 2003) won't spin - this happens on an intermittent basis, maybe once a month. When I go to empty the washer, I find all the clothes sopping wet. The pump works during the spin cycle, though, because I can see & hear it pumping the water out. I can get it to spin again if I completely empty the washer. After one or two tries, it will generally start spinning; then I can load the wet clothes back in, start the spin cycle, and it will work. Any ideas on what can be causing this? Thanks! - Katie

Since it is draining this means the pump is working, and since it is agitating this means the coupling is ok, so change out the clutch, check the brakes and you should be all set.
