My top-freezer Amana recently started running too warm in the freezer (fridge part OK). It's from 1997, so almost just replaced the unit, but then I found the condenser fan wasn't running (bad motor) - cond. coil and compressor both hot. Put in a new cond. fan motor and now the cond. coil is much cooler - but the freezer still isn't very cold. Just measured it at 22F, ~12 hours post repair.
Compressor is running and cycling normally. Both the new cond. fan and the evap fan are running. Back panel in freezer is cold but no frost/ice buildup.
Are there more things I should check? Any chance something got damaged while it ran with no condenser fan (for a week or more)? Maybe I just haven't waited long enough?
Given that it is 14 1/2 years old, if it's a refrigeration system problem I'm unlikely to fix it, but having come this far I hate to give up.
Thanks in advance!

Your compressor probably is worn, or it leaked refrigerant, best to get a new one. Best on the market is GE, very few refrigeration problems.
