I have an above the range GE Spacemaker that I don't think I have owned a year yet. It simply quit heating. Everything else works. The distictive deep hum that it once made is gone. I did a little research, and checked the magnetron. I went to discharge the capacitor, and it had no noticeable current present. I tested the two leads (ohms) against the magnetron case. I am getting infinity there. Between the two leads, I am getting 0.5 ohms. Is that normal? I checked the transformer too, and neither winding is grounded, and I am getting about 0.8 ohms between the leads on the primary and secondary side. I am not advanced enough in knowledge to go much further with testing. I like the way this microwave looks - better than the new ones. Any ideas out there? Thanks.
