It was in our house when we bought it 3 years ago and I haven't ever used it because it makes this horrific, loud grinding noise when it is started. I have tried to locate a diagram to try to repair it, but can't. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what might be causing this noise? Thank you so much!

Rank: Advanced Member Groups: Senior Expert Joined: 9/7/2008(UTC) Posts: 750		I would be willing to bet that the FAN BLADE thats built into the motor has broken loose from the shaft of the motor, The only thing to do is replace the PUMP&MOTOR assy.:)
