There is no response from the machine with we attempt to start it. From what I have read on-line it is likely that the lid switch needs to be replaced. I need help finding and testing the lid switch. Thanks.

You need the service manual, which I cannot link you to cause Maytage will no longer make its tech info available.

See if Maytag will get you one, and if not, search the net. There may be free downloads, or one available for a nominal cost.
