Hi,
I had the hot water hose break on my Whirlpool Duet HT washer.
I thought,I can use just the cold water hose at a cold water setting until I got the new hose.
Instead the control panel locked up .I called Whirlpool and they said unplug the unit for 15-20 minutes. It should reset itself back to factory settings.
I waited an hr just to be sure & the red light to the panel still reads locked.
I tried pressing the cancel button 2 times.Ive tried starting a new cycle.
It just stays in the locked position.
Did I break my machine ???
I really could use some advice !!!
Thank you ,
Lisa

What you need to replace is the microcomputer control. If you unplug the washer and take the three screws out in the back of the washer to remove the top, the microcomputer will be up top in the middle in the back, with all the wires going to it. It is an easy replacement. You can easily do it. The part # is 8182697. Tom

So you are saying to me the door is still locked and you can't get it to do nothing. If so, replace the microcomputer. Tom
