Tonight my wife and I discovered that the inside of our GE Profile Artica was warm inside. The freezer seems still be code, and all sounds seem normal.
However, I found that the values for the temperature controls were blank. Pushing one of the buttons would cause the values to reappear. However, whenever I check again later the values are blank.
Using the controls to increase the refrigerator coldness setting has no affect.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Open up the freezer door, and look in the back of the freezer, close to the bottom, and see if there is a frost build up on the back wall of the freezer. Also see if the fan is running in the freezer. If you have frost or no fan running, it could be the mother board in the back of the refrigerator. It is behind a panel in the back. The part # is WR55X10552. If the fan is running, and you have frost in the back it could be either the mother board or the heater, that is mounted on the bottom of the evaporator coil. Take the 2 screws out, and and remove the heater assembly, and pull the two wires off of each end, and ohm it out, if you get a reading it is good. That would mean the mother board is bad, if you get no reading, replace the element, and defrost the coil, and you are the hero. Oh, the part # for the heater is WR51X10055. Tom
