I'm looking for a replacement lid switch for my whirlpool estate washer. Model #: TAWs700EQ2.
I have to push down very hard on my washer cover for it to spin or stick my finger in the hole where the lid indicates its closed and push down. so I'm assuming it is the lid switch that is the problem? Is that correct?
What is the model number of lid switch that I would need?

Yep, that is a lid switch problem ok. If you click on your model number you will be taken to exploded views of your machine. Get the lid switch part number, or if you want, just call into APP and with your model number they will get you the right part.
