I AM HAVING AN ISSUE WITH MY WHIRLPOOL GOLD DISHWASHER SOAP DISPENSER. WE BOUGHT IT A YEAR AGO AND HAVE NOT ANY PROBLEMS. MY HUSBAND WAS REMOVING THE UTENSIL BASKET AFTER THE WASH COMPLETED. AS HE DID SO, THE UTENSIL BASKET HIT THE BLUE LATCH THAT OPENS AND CLOSES ON THE DISPENSER WHICH POPPED OFF. IT DID NOT BRAKE OR CHIP, BUT POPPED OFF. WE TRIED TO JUST POP IT BACK IN THE HOLE, BUT NOW IT WON'T CLICK DOWN, AND THE DOOR NOW WON'T STAY SHUT. WE SPOKE WITH SOMEONE AT LOWES WHERE WE PURCHASED IT, AND THE GENTLEMAN SAID THERE IS AN O-RING INSIDE THE DOOR THAT PROBABLY SLIPPED OFF AND THAT IS WHY THE BLUE LEVER IS NOT CATCHING. I DON'T BELIEVE THAT WE NEED TO BUY A ENTIRE NEW SOAP DISPENSER AND I WISH SOMEONE WOULD JUST TELL US THE EASY SOLUTION TO FIXING THIS. THERE ARE NO ELECTRICAL OR MECHANICAL ISSUES, JUST THIS BLUE LEVER THAT NEEDS TO FIT BACK IN AGAIN SECURELY SO THE DOOR WILL STAY CLOSED. PLEASE HELP.

Please tell me you figured out how to get the latch to stay. I actually have the tiny O ring, put it all back together, but it doesn't stay closed. It seems like there should be some kind of spring too?!?
