Our ice maker (that we do not use) is making noises and is HOT. The floor of the freezer is cold. The fan seems to be blowing hot air. It was defrosting the food. I removed the food. The next day...the freezer seems to be fine...then an hour later the air was warm, the icemaker was hot to the touch and it sounds like it is trying to cycle. We unplugged the frig to keep the icemaker from cycling. Is the icemaker causing the troubles? Is there a way to disconnect the icemaker? Thanks, Patty

Patty,

The ice maker is the culprit. You have to unplug the ice maker wire harness (behind the ice maker).

Gene.
