This Kenmore side by side has water continue to run at a reduced rate after removing the glass from the fill. The ice maker calls for water and water comes out of the water thru the door also. The water filter has been removed and the water pressure through the door is a bit on the low side. Is this a sticking solenoid valve allowing water to continue to trickle and eventually stop, or is there something in the door dispenser that should be closing off the little water dispenser fill line? Also, this refrigerator model has two dual water solenoids in the back. I think one is for the ice maker only and the other is for the water through the door. But why two dual solenoid valves instead of two single valves?

The valves rely on water pressure to close after use and low water pressure, as indicated by slow dispenser flow, could prevent the valves from fully sealing closed when in the off position. If you are using a pierce type saddle valve for your water connection, you may want to replace it with something new. If not, I would check the pressure going to the valves. It is possible the valve has something stuck inside preventing it from closing, but usually that will not interfere with the flow rate to the dispenser.

Thank you Brian. I will replace the saddle valve first and see if that increases water pressure and thus allows the valves to fully close. If not I will replace the water solenoid valve accordingly.
I will post back with my results.
